#If this doesn’t perfectly encapsulate Buffy Summers then I don’t know what will #because every single one of these characters has betrayed her or left her or done something gross and unjustifiable at some point #which makes it hypocritical for the show to try and grant them impunity EXCEPT THAT IT’S BUFFY #Her world is consumed by moral enigmas and ethical dilemmas where time to place finite reasoning behind right and wrong is limited #Remember that speech Buffy gives Giles in Lie To Me? #’I’m constantly trying to work it out. Who to love or hate. Who to trust.’ #Chosen could be seen as a final word on that #but it’s more focused on the idea of resolution and closure which glorifies these characters and subverts their need for development #My feelings~
